Happy New Year! Are you one of the avid gym goers that dreads the “newbies” this time of year or are you one of those “newbies?”
I typically begin each year with a fairly clear cut set of running goals. This year I am two weeks post foot surgery heading into 2014 (and it has been four weeks since I have been able to run), so the only goal I have really set for myself is to get healthy, stay strong during recovery and do “something” faster than last year. (I honestly don’t know if I want that “something” to be a 5K, marathon or something in between!) I will inevitably set some concrete goals for myself in the very near future, but I think right now forward progress is my highest priority.
