If you have followed our blog for awhile, you have probably gathered that we both make a huge effort to eliminate unnecessary chemicals from our lives both in our food and in our homes (beauty products, cleaning products, etc.). A few weeks ago when Missy & I went to our local farmer’s market we were introduced to a product that was new to us – Norwex. Their cloths clean with no chemicals. We both bought a few basic items and later that week may have had a pretty ridiculous text conversation about how much “fun” we were having cleaning our houses with these cloths!
According to Norwex, their clothes use an innovative microfiber that “Lifts dirt, grease and grime up into the cloth and off the surface. BacLock, the micro silver agent in the wet cloth, goes to work using its self-purification properties against mold, fungi and bacterial odor…” Seriously, how cool is that?!! When we tested them out, we both thought they worked even better than promised. In fact, they worked so well that Missy almost immediately signed up to sell Norwex. They also have a full line of other products as well — everything from cleaning supplies to bath and laundry products.
Let me take a tiny time out to say that we try really hard not to make the blog our platform for shameless self-promotion. Forgive me if this post comes across that way, but we would like to invite any of our local readers to be a part of an event with us this weekend.
If you know me at all, you probably know that my “day job” is owning/operating a karate school with my husband. We just finished major renovations (a big part of the reason I have been MIA from blogging regularly!) and this Saturday, June 27th, we are hosting a Grand Re-Opening party. I am sharing this with our readers because I have worked hard for this event to have a very “healthy” vibe to it. Not only will Missy be on site for her Norwex “debut,”, we will have several other healthy products that we both love such as Arbonne and DoTerra oils. We also have the nutritionist from our gym, Lifetime Fitness, coming out to give a presentation on “Nutrition for families” at 11:30 a.m. There are a couple free karate classes going (including Stranger Danger for 6-13 year olds at 10 a.m.) on as well as some cool demonstrations. In addition to the businesses I already mentioned, Retro Fitness, Milestone Wealth Design, Thirty-One, PACT Humane Society, Home Depot, Costco, Sport Clips and Premier Jewelry will all be on site. There will be a bounce house, face painting and a Home Depot building station for the young people in your life.
If you are local, we would love to see you on Saturday! You can also check out the event page on facebook here for the complete schedule of events and address for the party. Did I mention we have awesome door prizes from all of the vendors and from one of our favorite workout stores (Athleta)? Seriously, if you are local, come visit us.
